America treats patients like a nuisance. Cancer survivors, caregivers, and families get buried in denials, bills, and bureaucracy while the system congratulates itself for providing care. This is unacceptable.

The Urgency of Our Cause

Other movements rose when survival demanded it. ACT UP forced action during the AIDS crisis. Breast cancer activists made research urgent. LIVESTRONG made survivorship visible. Stupid Cancer gave young adults their voice. Yet, nineteen million cancer patients alive today, along with their families, have never been organized into a real rights movement.

We the Patients exists to change that.

No More Empty Promises

No more photo ops and ribbon cuttings. No more advocacy that leaves patients smiling for cameras while the real decisions happen somewhere else. We demand actual rights. We need navigation from the day of diagnosis. We need protection from bills that bankrupt families. We need a patient bill of rights that cannot be ignored.

Our Mission

The mission is simple. Nineteen million patients and survivors, plus thirty-five million caregivers, equal the largest constituency in the country. Candidates will have to answer to us. Corporations will have to answer to us. Patients vote. Survivors vote. Caregivers vote.

We the Patients exists because no one gave cancer patients a Miranda warning.

Your Rights as a Patient

You have the right to information.

You have the right to a human guide.

You have the right to not be bankrupted for getting sick.

You have the right to fight cancer instead of the system.

The Power of Unity

Together, we can create a powerful movement. Our collective voices can no longer be ignored. We will not stand by while the healthcare system fails us. We will demand change.

The Fight for Legislation

We must push for strong legislation like the Cancer Patient Protection Act. This act will ensure that patients have rights and protections. It is time for us to hold the system accountable.

Building a Stronger Future

Imagine a future where cancer patients are treated with dignity and respect. A future where care is accessible and affordable. A future where our rights are protected. This is not just a dream; it is our goal.

Taking Action

Every voice matters. Every action counts. Join us in this fight. Share your story. Advocate for change. Together, we can make a difference.

Conclusion

The time for change is now. We the Patients is more than just a movement; it is a call to action. We will not be silenced. We will not be ignored. Together, we will create a healthcare system that works for us.

Join us today. Together, we can change the narrative. Together, we can fight for our rights. Together, we can make history.
